It seems like for EVERY rpm from idle to liek 4000, there's SOMETHING that resonates/rattles at that engine speed.
so far... I'm aware of-

the exhaust heat shield
the heat shield by the header
the a-pipe in header that comes loose, n rattles around 3000-3500 rpm

anything else? gawd...i can't even drive with my windows down cuz I hear EVERYTHING

 

Nothing rattles on mine.

If your heat shields rattle, you should remove them or replace them.

 

I have this rattle that exists at 2700 to 3K RPMs that will not go away. I have a skunk 2 catback and header and cat is stock. Checked the heat shield on my cat and it is not loose.

 

my sunroof rattles, any tips on getting rid of that? it rattles when i go over bumps and stuff, also when i hit it too

 

Just take all of teh heatshields off that are even close to teh exhuast. It will fix your problem for sure. Worked for me and hasn't caused any adverse effects.

 

the only thing that pisses me off is in the A-pillar...rattles like crazy on cold mornings. I hope to tear into it next week.

Oh yeah and heatshields...all are removed, all of them. weight savings

same here any only stated noticing it after i upgraded my shocks..is there any way to tighten it up...it only rattles when open at a certain point...and as far as heatshields..what are those..oh the things i took off cause they annoyed the hell outta me...

 

ive got heatsheild rattles, window rattles, door rattles, and my hatch rattles, fixed the hatch the other day though by putting a peice of black electrical tape around the hatch

i also had this problem and it was NOT the heatsheilds. the stock integra headers are known to crack on the inside and make a loud rattle at those rpms, its just the A pipe (the bottom half of the header) that needs replaced. i got 1 off ebay for 25$ and it fixed my problem right up

 

Are there any bad affects of removing the OE heatsheilds on the exhaust manifold?

I want to remove mine, but I dont want under hood temps to rise.

 

Started a thread a while ago about a rattle.... somone responded his issue is the glove compartment... I have the same issue. Not sure how to get rid of it...

 

i had that prob...tighten up the glove box bolts..with the box open u wil see 2 bolts on each side of the glove box...one of mines was totaly loose ..tightened it up and the rattle is gone

 

my light in the glove box dont shut off when i **** it. it doesent seem to hit the little sensor thing to make it shut off

The only thing that rattled on my car was the hatch cover on the inside popped out from when I got hit in the back and thought it was my spoiler for the longest time but I popped it back and havent had a rattle since. I would have to say though most tegs hatches will start to rattle after a while only real rattle Ive noticed that some tegs run into.

No wonder why your glove light stays on!! You are not supposed to **** in the glove box.

Will it hurt if the OE exhaust manifold heat sheild is removed? I really do not want my underhood temps to rise. You bearly cannot put your hand on my hood after running my car hard already. I think I might be able to live with a little rattle.

 

i dont have mine on there and i dindt really notice a diffrence

 

My exhaust rattles at the muffler. Part of my Evo hits one of the extra hooks all the time. I can't fix it. My suspension rattles ever since I put the springs and shocks on. And most of the rest of the car rattles from my system. It's all really annoying.

yeah, my car rattles like hell on cold mornings too. i thought it might be the springs in the clutch though. i just noticed that when i engaged the clutch the rattle stopped... i dont know

 

My Evo did that. The hanger on the can would touch and vibrate on the hanger on the chassis. Poor design on Greddy's behalf. I used the dremel to cut off a small part of the chassis hanger and it solved the problem.

My passenger seat squeaks, despite constant greasing of the rails.

Dash rattles.

Driver side door panel rattles.

Hatch rattles.

Something in the hatch rattles.

Damn squeaky car.

I had that problem, I wraped some High density faom around the hook.

I have a creaky spring rattle in the rear of my car...

 

There is a support for the header under the car near the O2 Bung try and see if that does anything..take it off, bend it, break it off whatever it takes just trial and error for this deal

 

Which Dremel piece did you use?

 

my hatch rattles something horrible, anybody have any suggestions besides turning up the radio?
