key can't start car, but remote can... ignition problem?

key can't start car, but remote can... ignition problem?
out of nowhere my keys can't start the car... when I turn it to 3 (crank) it feels like ignition has been cut... But when i use my remote to start the car it starts fine, and the I can crank it some further with the key after it has been remote started... can anyone help?
