60mm offset

is there anyway that I can run a 60mm offset on a integra I understand that I will probably have to use spacers but thats fine as long as it doesn't look like a lowrider.
I know i've seen a ITR with rsx wheels and i'm pretty sure those use a 60mm offset.
any help is appreciated.
thanks,
SEAN

I used 55mm wheels from a Prelude on my R and they fit fine except at full lock (like when doing a U-turn) where they would rub on the inside a little. I was also using 225 width tires, so that might have also contributed to the rubbing. A 10mm spacer would make 60mm offset wheels fit perfectly. Where you'd get 10mm spacers is another issue. Anything from a 7mm to a 15mm spacer would probably work fine.

USDM DC5 use a 45mm offset wheel. The JDM DC5-R uses a 55mm offset wheel because it has stock Brembo brakes. I have no idea where you heard the RSX uses a 60mm offset. There's no way it will clear the strut with a 60mm offset on a USDM DC5.

On both vehicles, RSX and DC2-R, a 60mm offset wheel will be tucked far into the wheel well if it was able to fit. A 60mm offset might be able to work on the DC5-R, but i guess it all depends on the wheel width also.

so my wheel will be tucking in so a 60mm offset with a 10mm spacer will put the wheels at a normal look.
any help would be apreciated as i'm trying to buy these wheels this week.
can I comfortably use these on my dc2?
thanks

You would have to ask an actual DC2 owner because i drive a RSX Type S. Will a 50mm offset wheel work in your situation? Well that would all depend on the wheel size and tire size you're looking into. Remember though, with a 10mm wheel spacer you will need longer wheel studs. The lugs won't have enough turns on the stock studs. Good luck.

16 x ???
EDIT:
This is in regards to fitment on an ITR, correct?
If not, please post this in the Integra forum as the non-ITRs and ITRs use different offset wheels.

3 problems...
DC5-R has a 60mm offset, so the person you corrected is right.
You said that it is because of the Brembo calipers, that the DC5-R has a higher offset than USDM DC5. But everything else the same (dimension wise), a lower offset will give you better spoke-to-caliper clearance. It will PUSH the outer face of the rim further out to the sides. So you're logic is backwards.
I am not a DC5 owner, yet I know the car better than you do. Lame.

Ok smart guy. First off, the Brembo hub pushes further out (towards the outer fender) further then the Type S hub. Therefore they use a 55mm offset wheel to fit into the fender well, not to clear the Brembo calipers. When did i ever say they use a high offset wheel to clear the caliper? I said they use the high offset wheel because of the Brembo brakes; not because it's used to specificly CLEAR the caliper.
(Second, there are numerous DC5 owners at clubrsx WHO HAVE the JDM DC5-R wheel and have stated that it's a 55mm offset, not 60. Go check it out yourself.) Edit: I take this part back only because i was mislead by other members.
Looks like you don't understand simple english. (Reading comprehension owns you.) It's ok though, but don't take your frustrations out on me. I was only try to help this guy out.

It's only natural that you get defensive, after being proven wrong in a public forum. Sorry about that.
Getting back on topic, in the odd chance that Yoshi doesn't come through. I'll also try installing the DC5R rim onto my 98spec JDM 5 lugs.

That's real funny. That coming from a guy who was proven wrong by my previous post up above. If i remember correctly, you were trying to prove something about me saying they use a higher offset wheel on the DC5-R to clear the brembo caliper? Wait, that's right; I said no such thing in the first place. Don't act like you know more about the DC5 chassis just because you're installing DC5-R wheels on your DC2.
PS: I was wrong about the offset and I admitted it. Now who's the bigger man?
On topic: Yoshi, are you going to be using wheel spacers? Isn't a 60mm offset a little too high of an offset to be using on your DC2-R?
EDIT: I'm just adding these quotes so you won't keep on rambling about something else...

no, since i'm only doing it to show what it'd look like. besides, my spacers are currently being used on another w/ 17" MF10s
