guys any differences between new and old? rsx seats have airbags now so i'm wondering if the new jdm recaros are any different-pics would be great if anyone has any-thanks

Im about 90% sure that the DC5R is using the SR5, which is the most recent version of the SR Series, The DC2R used the SR3.
The newer seats seem to be a little rounder on the edges and maybe a little wider.

 

Whats with the camo print in the middle of the seat? Is that just the way the material is laying, kind of like when you run your hand on some carpets it changes colors?

 

Those pics posted are actually of the SR5 Rafale from Recaro Not of the ones that are in the DC5R are slightly different material (same as ours, Alacantra and Twead)

 

btw i think SR4 is what you were referring to, the SR5 will probably be out in a couple of years.

hmm I wonder why there are so many ppl that have mistaken the new SR to be SR5

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse people. I just thought that the Rafale looked funky!
I think the JDM Recaro in the R's are exclusive to Honda.

 

Yes, they look like SRIV. DC2 had SRIII

 

For some weird reason they had it listed as an SR5 about 2-3 months ago? I thought it was strange that they would skip from 3 to 5

we get the recaro seats for the DC5, its basicly the same as the picture, but with different trim (like the old trim on the DC2 recaro), also now they have the white stich for the recaro writing, but still the same place as the old DC2 recaro.
