Default D16y8

Alright my friend (HXVTEC) and I are going to pick up his ex tranny tommorow. It has been pulled from the car/motor. what can we do to look at it to tell if it is a D16y8(ex) tranny? like what code is on it and other noticeable things on it?

I can't find what I'm looking for to help, but I'll keep trying.

I think SOHC's were...

1.5 is stamped with P00A
1.6 is stamped with P00B

Not 100% positive, but I'm trying to check. And of course if/when I find it I'll post it.
