heater warmth

Default heater warmth

My heater works but the heater only blows like luke warm air any suggestions on how to fix it

its a 88 crx dx w/ zc dohc

Make sure the valve is opening. You will find a cable going to it from the control unit thru the firewall. It is on the passenger side below the fuel filter.
For those who are having trouble with the speed settings-check that the resistor is OK. You might find one online, otherwise the dealer has them available.

Does the engine reach normal operating temperature fairly quick? If not, might be time for a new thermostat. I would replace it with an OEM stat.

well i have a deal core radiator and the temp gauge in the cluster console like never rises it stays rock bottom but sometimes it moves up but thats like in the day when its warmer at night it stays rock bottom

did you recently change your coolant?

It could be a bad thermostat, or it could be that the new coolant is cooling the car better and _if_ its that cold in your area, it would explain why it cant reach operating temperature....it SHOULD reach it while idling for a while tho after a drive
