The heater still works but it doesn't get very hot. And when moving it to level four, which should make it blow harder still seems like on level one. Even after driving the car for about an hour, the heater level is still relatively low.

I was having the same problem with my heater levels, so i change the (heater fan or blower) not sure if thats the correct name but it works now. You might need to change the heater core if thats it name. I will be checking in to is what others say cause i think mine is about to do the same thing....

start with the easiest cheapest things first.
change your thermostat and bleed all the air out of the system. its a good idea to flush the system if it hasnt been done in awhile.

also check the cable that allows the coolant to get to the heater core, im not sure what its called but it comes out of the center of the firewall to a black plastic valve behind the motor

Hmm, easiest and cheapest eh? Why not try even cheaper and diagnose the problem instead of thorwing parts at it? Oh wait now I remember, cuz it's Honda-Tech where every member thinks they are a mechanic.

lol exactly, I don't even think it is a thermostat problem.

please tell me what else causes heat to blow out but its not very hot, a bad thermostat or a air pocket or ?????????

but the way the heater blows "weakly" is not a thermostat problem.

If he had mentioned something like the temp gauge goes to cold when driving then its possibly a thermostat problem. This sounds more like a heater core problem, but I'm no expert so thats just a guess

My 94 hatch was doing the same thing. Do you live in an area where lots of crap can get stuck down in the engine? I personally reside in a somewhat wooded area. My fan would not blow any air into the car, but if I went on the highway, I could feel a slight breeze coming from the vents. Turns out I had Pine needles stuck all up inside the fan motor (which a very difficult spot to get stuff from out side into! anyways, you may want to check that out because it is fairly simple. I'm not to sure about the exact positioning of the fan in your vehicle (I don't know what you drive!), but-
1) check under the glove box near the door for a small cylindar popping out of a circular plate.
2) There are three screws holding mine in place.
3) unscrew and remove. You may need to pull some of the carpet away to get to the screw towards the front of the vehicle.
4) a large cylindrical paper filter should apper with the top being completely open.
5) remove junk and reinstall!
