Default d16a6 into a 91 hf... problem!!

so im in the middle of this swap and everything has went very well, but i notice somthing on the a6 that i dont have a plug for from the hf harness (the part is not on the hf, so i didnt just over look the plug). if you are looking at the motor from the front it is on the back right side of the intake manifold. it has 2 bolts holding it on and it has a vacuum line going from that to up near the throttle body. my first question is what is this thing? and next is what do i do about not having a plug for it? can i just forget about it or do i have to run new wires from someplace or what? any help is appreciated TIA

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you are talking about the "fast idle control solenoid valve"

you dont need it. that plug hangs down from the manifold right? mine is hanging too. some of the years did not have that plug but some did. its just that your engine and harness are differnt years. dont worry about it mines hangin down too and theres no problem with it.

i did a Ls swap into a HF once , I belive you are thinking of the EGR valve Which the a6 probobly doesnt haveand the HF does you shouldnt need it.

its not the egr valve, i read about that and know to just leave the plug hanging for that. i guess we have determined that its the fast idle control solenoid valve. now what do i do about not having a plug to plug into it? just forget about it?
a for everyone that has helped
