How do you adjust alignments on Hondas?
Hey hey...my alignments been off, and its beggining to bug a little. I have a sketchy idea on how to fix it, but does anybody know exactly how to align a 92 Civic Hatch? Isnt there something to do with adjusting the control arms?
to adjust the toe (only thing that u can adjust) for civic. Look for a tie rod behind the front axles just turn the tie rod clock wise or anti clock wise to adjust. for the rear the is a arm that connects the trail arm to the chassi and by loosening the bolt that hold the arm to the chassi you can adjust the rear toe. Tape measure the different of the front and rear tire the get what ever setting you want.
It's tough to get it just right at home, without the laser things or a toe gauge. THe goal of alignment is to get the space between the fronts of the front wheels and the backs of the front wheels to have the same distance between them. If you measure off of the center of the tire (in the same places for all measurements) you can get very close. My Kumho 712's have a large center groove which makes it fairly easy. The goal in this is to adjust the tie rods so that both wheels are pointing EXACTLY straight down the road.

Go look at your car or at your shop manual. IT will all become perfectly clear. THere is only one thing that attaches to the steering knuckle on the back (car rear) side of the hub. WHen you see it you'll know what I mean.
