Default Anyone seen this stamped on their motor?

When I seperated the tranny from the motor tonight, I found this stamped on the block. It almost looks like 666. It looks like it was engraved into the block, something honda didnt do. I am just wondering what this is, I am curious if anyone else has seen something like this.

thats 1/2 of the code to find out which main bearings your engine takes (other 1/2 is on the crankshaft)

Thats from someone who rebuilt your engine before you and for some reason they etched part of the bearing codes into the back of the block. Don't ask me why, they stamp them on the block at the factory. Perhaps the crank was damaged at one point and replaced....

those are STOCK stampings, not from a rebuilder.

Why the hell would stock letters be hand etched?

true, D series have these stamped in the block like in the above pic. B series have them stamped on the bottom of the block.
