ITR is a great motor right from the factory.
But...it is overpriced. I'd rather go with the LSVTEC. For the price of an itr, you could build a nice, reliable lsvtec that would beat the type R.

i like b16s, but lets try to keep this thing logical. would you take a b16, ls/vtec or a type R??
probably a ls/vtec - less money
type R - no engine can touch the c5, or should i say no B-series engine can
b16 - r/s ratio, but then again, a heavily modded d-series can pull harder, and has just as much torque
BUT, if you don't have the thousands for a GSR or c5 this is NOT a bad platform to start from

itr hands down. why do stupid *** debates now if the itr motor cost the same as doing a ls/vtec everyone would obviously have an itr motor but when u want reliabilty it cost thats why the itr motor cost more
