I think there's a heat sheild above the cat that will rattle on some tegs. Have you looked under there?

chill dude.

wtf is a buckload of sand? and who puts these things in driers????

on the serious note... buzzing/vibrating is more than likly 1 of 2 things... the heat shield on the cat, or the A-pipe of the header itself. both have easy solutions, remove the heat shield, and install a new header.

A buckload of sand? is that like a load of buckshot? or maybe a bucket of sand? and why the hell would you use such things in a dryer? (sorry to repeat D, but I'm equally confused on this one).

As for the rattle, it's most likely the a pipe, easy to check, jack up the car and look. If the a-pipe support is broken, the dealership will reweld it but it'll just break again.

Sometimes right around 3800 rpm i get this realy light and hollow rattle noise. It was so anoying and I could not find it to save my life. My gf ending up finding it. It was the damn release button on the e-brake. Sure enough, I put my finger on it and it goes away. It just needed a little felt and no more noise.

asspenny, i had the same rattle. it was bugging the hell out of me, one day i just started touching every panel in my car, and found out that it was the ebrake handle/button. now when i hear it, i just grab the handle and it goes away, for a while.

a long time ago when I was in kindergarten a kid did this, put sand in the dryer, and I always remember this sound. Anyway.. to describe this more, itīs very hard to find with tho hood open but in the cabin itīs on the passenger side so my best guess is the intake itīs not very annoying but itīs not normal....
