I'm lost
need more info but had they exact problem in my 88si with a zc motor you have to go thru your timing. put it in tdc align the cam gears, and then try to set intial timing.
ive got the same problem.. and im still stumped. Ive replaced my distributor a few times. ive heard it is the wiring.

swap the two wires that go teh Cam sensor, or sauter (sp) them if they are just twisted together. In most cases that code is due to crappy wiring or having the wires reversed. G/L

So, if one cam shaft is out of synch, this can happen???
I am getting this code, and am not quite sure why.
I have a 1992 B18A with a MSD cap, and a Blaster2. I had a #8 and #9
After reset, I am still getting a code #9
thanks for the help.

i have wired about 10 MPFI and they are sucesfull
on my car (ironic isnt) i cant get it right
thats the only code i have
i have done all in my power to get it away
-taken a new ecu in
-new distribuitor
-rewired it 4 times and still there
-switched the cables
-re-run cables with a shielded one and separate
and havent had iti working
i gave up since there seems to be not a solution, no power loss (dyno proven) and runs great... so i say **** it

I have the same problem on a 88hf with dohc zc. I've put on new sensor and dizzy and still have the problem. Even re-ran the wires to cps to ecu. nothing.
Can you put sotch hf dizzy on dohc zc. I want nothing to do with external sensor.

Anyone had this problem on a dohc zc? I know it is not the sensor or the wiring going to the sensor?
u sure its not the sensor on the exhaust cam?
EDIT: code #9 on a DOHC ZC is the sensor located on the exhaust cam.
