Default Cotter Pin

Im planning on putting my stock supension back on. were do i get the cotter pin for the upper control arm. i looked at kragens website and they have like 1 million different kinds. a spefic one will help. thanks

yeah, if you haven't got a cotter pin laying around just use a paper clip.

the cotter pin's function isn't to actually hold your suspension together... it is a safety, if you will, that in the event your nut were to become loose, it wouldn't be able to unthread past the cotter pin. the paper clip could accomlish this task just as well.

-Erik &lt;--- who's replaced quite a few lost or worn cotter pins with trimmed down paper clips

if you still have the old ones, you could bring it to : kragen,autozone,pepboys, or even orchard harware supply. and just match it up.

paper clip would work just as well though.

I'm paper clip equipped as well. It was a whole lot easier than trying to bend the mangeled stock pin back into shape.
