Longer Wheelbase better for drag racing?
can someone explain to me how a longer wheelbase car is better in Drag Racing than a shorter wheelbased car? Would having a longer wheelbase give it a better advantage than a short wheelbased car on the street? For Example, a 93-95 coupe vs. a 92-95 hatch. Or is it only better for drag cars? let me know, Thanks
FYI, the afformentioned cars have the same wheelbase.
longer wheelbase is good for drag racing because it allocates better weight transer, im sure theres alot more discussion, but im tired and sick, hehe

Hey thanks for letting me know that, i though they had a longer wheelbase for some reason, guess i was wrong. Get well soon so u can tell me more about longer wheelbased vs shorter wheelbased cars lol
shorter wheelbase are normally lighter cars.. but more squirly at speeds and really transfer the weight back harder.. my car has an 87" wheelbase... nhra says you need atleast a 90" wheelbase.

which means CRXs can't run NHRA???
sucks for Leslie, Bisi etc... i guess NHRA doesnt like the fact that Hondas are the first into the 9's.... NHRA is really holding imports back with all the new rules, sucks for Rado too cuz he can run his new Celica

Wheelie bars on a FWD are really just there to increase the wheelbase. On a front heavy car (Gutted Honda) a longer wheelbase places more weight on the front wheels
