2.blower motor does not blow unless given direct power ands ground

Just curious, how long did you let it warm up?
Because if it's even slightly chilly out and breezy it could take a real long while for the t-stat to open.
My friend and I just R+R'd a timing belt and water pump in my GSR and it was pretty chilly that day. It took FOREVER for the bottom hose to get hot.,
a good 20-25 mins of ideling before the t-stat opened. And the outside temp was somewhere around 40 degrees and breezy.

Sounds like you have an electrical problem somewhere, possibly a short. What thermostat did you get? Was it an OEM replacement or aftermarket from Auto Zone, Pep Boys, etc? I had a friend who bought 3 thermostats from Auto Zone before getting a good one.

For the blowe motor...I assume you mean the resistor for it has been cheanged.
Get a voltmeter and use the circuit diags in the shop manual to find your way around.
You said it doesnt start unless it has power AND ground?
How about just ground?
How about just power?
If its just ground...just find your ground wire and check if it connects powerperly to the body.
If its power, I was gonna say resitor, but if tahts done, check the fan switch, the contacts could be messed up...you can figgure this out but measuring the voltage on the input of the swtiches etc.....basically trace your power until it dissapears...once you see it dissapear you've found the problem.

_______
It was a stant from pepboys , However i just bought on oem 1 from honda which i will install momenteraly.
Jet black these are good ideas , i will try this.
I also work at honda and my manager allowed me t0 take a fan switch home (switch for the blower motor not the cooling fan) but im not sure where it goes and left my chiltons at my mans shop and he's closed . Any ideas about that
