I hit 13.9 all motor with my ZC in gutted CRX w/20" slicks, 13.1 with ZEX - should have used 22's - might have hit a 12! check out my garage for the parts i used.

"Pretty much stock" hahaha.. jk.

DOHC ZC
Mods: Lightspeed Intake
Kamakazi header
2.25" Exhaust
B&M FPR
MSD SCI w/Blaster coil
MSD Wires
ACT Clutch/Fidenza flywheel
Quaif LSD
ZEX nitrous hit 13.1 with this...
Energy suspension inserts
14x20x8" MT slicks

ohh.. and skunkworks cam gears set at 0,0 - most power was @ 0,0, and race gas..

woah.. those slicks are huge for the amount of power a ZC puts out....

Throw that tranny in the garbage and buy an SI tranny.

An si tranny and 22" slicks and i'm sure you'll run 12's!!

ya the only reason I have this size slick is because of the deal I got on them. Other than that i'd be running 22's. And ya the dx tranny and my center force are both going in the garbage. lol or i might save them for a spare.

I wouldn't use the DX unless your making 250+ to the wheels!

When i would shift my car into 3rd i would take a nap for the rest of the run lol. I'm only reving at around 5800-6000 rpm @ 91-92 mph depending on the run. this is n/a mode.

Yeah... 3rd gear is the killer. You engine sounds like it has tons of potential.. just needs the gearing.

Thats what i'm going for Zc tranny w/si finall drive. I also have to replace the clutch so i'm steppin up to a 91 flywheel and adding an ACT clutch. Which act clutch would you recomend.

the street/strip does just fine if your going to drive it on the street. the street/strip is waht i used and when i shifted it was like the world was going to end. I've driven a car with a race clutch on the street and didn't like it - feels way to agressive for everyday driving...

I ran a 16.3 @ 87mph when I first put my zc sohc in. that was the first time i have ever been on a track though. my times dropped every run, Im sure with the right driver my car could bang out a 15.0-14.9 now. Ive got this motor ****-hot, and still drive it to work everyday!
