Does anyone know where the vtec kicks in on 03 civics, and also why you can't here it like in the old ones.

B/C Honda put a lame engine in a cool hatch....I'll never understand this.
The secondary intake valve opens a little farther at 2,200-2,300 rpms...Thats is, done, nothing mre....well I guess the I-stands for something. Except that the ecu has to be programmed for the village idiot driver...So it retards the timng when the throttle is opened///Oh well. I'll step off my soap box ...Lower it and post pics

So basically V-tec is always on if you are driving, unlike previous models which opened later in higher rpms which you can hear in the engine. So what would be the advantage of this? Or is there really any? And what is my engine code on a 03 ex 4dr?

at 3/4 throttle the ecu can engauge vtec at 2200 rpm's or above....thats at 3/4 throttle

it helps out alot at low end....we only have 2 cam heights while the type-s has the GSR type 3 stage cam heights.

Well the only reason I went to this car is for my wife cause we are havin a baby and she won't learn to drive stick. So I traded my BMW 323 ci for it. Yeah i was sad, but I have had a done up integra and accord in the past, and plan on buyin a civic hatch or two door for myself to play with.
