Default New honda tuner

Hi there. I'm new to import tuning, have been a muscle car guy for a while now. 800+hp Chevelles are fun, but 5mpg isn't. Anyway, recently fell in love with the CRX. Will be buying a 90 Si somewhere in the near future, and was just looking for some tips on where to go. Goal is to use stock motor and push out 200 hp or so for the least amount of money. Already decided on header, cat, exhaust, looking on suggestions for where to go next. Basically I just want to be able to smoke 5.0 tards so we can all point and laugh afterwards.

Turbo or JRSC that little D16A6.
But you'll have to due some internal building first for 200hp out of a D16.
It's achilles heel are it's rods.

i've been reading tons of turbo posts lately cuz im getting ready for a turbo build myself. from what i gather a d16a6 can easily handle 200 hp. just check out the forced induction forum and search. im turboing my d15b with a pieced together t28 and im hoping close to 170-180 wtq and 200-220hp. it sure will beat the **** out of my n/a d16 i built up. and it'll cost 5 times less, w00t.

he had a single cam making 200whp with a small turbo. It was daily driven and done quite affordably.

First off, welcome!!!

Now on to the motors...
You can easyli get 200whp out of a D16A6(CRX SI motor) with a simple/cheap "homemadeturbo" setup... The main problem will be the infamous D-Series rods...
Those will need to be replaced if you wanna go with any kind of power...

The motr's great. Easy to work with and very reliable if done right!!!
Good luck!!!
