Default B20 BUILD QUESTIONS

Hello everyone:

I currently have my ITR in the shop (blew a hole in the block). I came across a 98 hatch back from a friend. I figured it would be a great project to put a B20 in it. I have been looking at DART blocks for a b20.

My questions are:

Has anyone built one of these b20 blocks for bigger displacement? If so, how big did you go?

How is the redline on it? Can it rev to 8500rpm if the displacement is around 2.2 ~ 2.3L??

I am most likely going to do a 84mmx95mm bore/stroke.

What kind of Compression can be run on a bigger displacement block if the block is sleeved?

Help is always appreciated.

thanks,

Default Re: B20 BUILD QUESTIONS (11sec.ALL MOTOR)

Thanks for everyone's input. I was looking at the DART blocks. They have a b20 block already decked but instead of 84mm bore they also have a standard 81.25mm bore. I was thinking about picking one of these blocks up because I have CTR pistons just sitting here collecting dust.

Do you think the compresson ratio will be too high then?

Thoughts??
Comments??

Thanks
