VAFC ?s
I have a chipped P28 ECU in my95 GSR. It runs pretty rich at part throttle like on the highway. My question is, will a VAFC allow me to lean it out a little under part throttle, or does it only help @ WOT? If not, how can i lean my mixture out a bit at part throttle?

Yes, with any kind of AFC you can turn down the fuel. With the V-AFC you can add fuel, or remove fuel at specific RPM'S. You can also control at what RPM the VTEC turns on and at what RPM it turns off again. I like personally love the V-AFC.
Also, how do you know you are running rich at part throttle?? If you are judging the mixture by an A/F Gauge of some kind, you should know that they are not very accurate. If you want to get the most out of that V-AFC you need to tune it on a dyno.

I had an air/fuel guage running off a 2nd O2 sensor, so it should've been pretty accurate. Also, my mileage on the highway has gone to crap, leading me to believe its running rich. Dyno tuning is no prob, as i just got new cams and need to retune cam gears anyways. Also, what kind of power gains can i expect from a properly tuned VAFC?
It will depend on how modded you car is. The more it's modded the more it will give you. And vise versa. It should give you some good #'s depending on the cams you got and also the tuner.
