Default Estimated time for 2001 ITR

What would a 2001 ITR with good (DOT) tires and some advance ignition timming could run in the 1/4 mile with no weight taking out except for the spare&jack.
Ps: The car as NO a/c and would run at see level with a very good driver.

What do you say ??

14.3 is possible with some semi-sticky tires and no PS belt.

I do know its possible to get low 14's outta a stock R. My friend had us advance his timing 2 degrees. No other mods, no weight reduction and one of my friends who can drive his *** off hit a 14.2 @ 98mph. So I know it can be done but it really depends on the driver.

Well i'm glad you guys gave quite decent times. For some reason, people who don't know much about the ITR's potential to be quick (even in a drag race) and NOT only on a road course or a solo pad. The 2001 ITR's with no A/C seems to be fast for some reason when compared to other years of production. I was asking for times you tought possible given a strong car with a strong driver on a perfect day and with the ONLY mods being some advance on the ignition timming and the P/S belt removed and also I removed the external air box resonator (the one in the fender). NO weight had been taking out other than the spare tire and jack. An other factor to specify is that these times i'll be posting were done on 2 different lanes at an NHRA approuved race track tha is 170 ft above see level. The weather was around 70 degrees with no wind an 70% humidity.
The driver (myself) weighs 185 lbs !
The ITR with those simple FREE mods dynoed at 170.4 whp with 119.4 wtq !

Here are the times: 3 runs total.

first run : 14.27 @ 98.5 mph
second : 13.97 @ 99.2 mph
third run:13.98 @ 98.7 mph

The reason for this post is not to brag or **** on anyone, mostly because I find it important for all ITR fanatics out there to beleive there is hope to be quick in a strait line with a car desinged to go fast around corners.

60FT: 2.17
1/8 : 8.990
1/4 : 13.970 @ 99.225 mph

60FT: 2.19
1/8 : 8.995
1/4 : 13.985 @ 98.762 mph

The tires were Toyo RA1 205/50-15 (DOT) solo/circuit tire with a stiff sidwall. Not the best kind for Drag racing but I had droped them to 15 psi.

The 14.27 run, I can't find the slip but I remember the 60FT to be quite high 2.30-35 ! The track was dirty since it was at the beginning of the day. I spun all of first gear and about 10 ft in second gear.

I launched at 7000 rpm with little feathering of the clutch if needed.

From what I've seen they run anywhere from 15.3 to 15.1 pretty much stock, with a moderate driver. Once U get I,H,E=14.9 to 14.5 with a good launch.

15.1 15.3's? Must be horrible driving I guess.

My 01 R with a filter ran 14.7@96mph on bald RE010, I'm a pretty shitty driver too. It's possible to squeeze a 14.2 out of my car with a decent driver.
