Even if your head is built, I wouldn't take it much higher than that.
safely..assuming everyday i wouldnt go more than 7k. shotpeen the rods, arp rod bolts, block girdle and balance your bottm end then you'd have no prob going up to 8-9k. if you want to rev to 8-9k easy get a VTEC block

Well we had an ls with bullfrog computer (stock block, bottom end, head, cams), we turned this car on the street and dragstrip 8100 rpm everyday more than once a day since mid 1997 till early this year when it finally blew up. Stock rods finally let go, cylinder number 4 rod failure, snapped the rod in half, then smashed the rod cap into two pieces and sandwiched the two pieces against the bottom of the sleeve and the rod journal, and well that was the end of that rotating assembly. Block was usable after boring. Suprised that after all that beating we gave it it actually lasted that long, had pictures of the rod and cap on here a while ago.
here is when it happened. hahahaha

I could rev an LS bottom end to 10,000 RPM... But how long will it stay together? If you want to rev an LS block past 7200 or so I would at least balance the entire rotating ***'y and use ARP rod bolts. I don't believe that shot peening the rods is necessary for 8000 (or so) RPM.
