Finally got my header on!
After rain delays, rusted bolt delays, and other stuff I finally got the bugger in. Now my check engine light is on. How do I get it to turn off? I just put in a Spoon 421 and a test pipe. Thanks for the help.
get a godspeed test pipe or a high flow cat or change to obd1 ecu (no 2nd o2 sensor) ...
then reset the ecu and you're all set!
The computer must detect a change in the a/f between the two o2 sensors... if not, cel.
Oh wait, there's a third option: if your test pipe doesn't have a bung in it, simply take your 2nd o2 sensor and put it through the rubber plug it is coming out of up into the cabin of the car under your center console/ radio area. CEL gone!

I am using a Godspeed test pipe, with the o2 senser in it. Is this a normal thing when changing headers and putting in a test pipe for your check engine light to be on? There is also a raddle near somewhere near the rear wheels, but its only there when I am not moving and at idle. I am going to go the muffler shop and have them look at it.
Hey Canuck, Ot but did you head up to Redline of Friday? As i was about to pull in cars started coming out of everywhere. I assumed some of Royal Oaks finest asked people to leave?

I went to redline meet, and when you saw every pulling out, we were all going to rams horn to eat. we havnt been kicked out of there in a couple of weeks. I dont konw how many people will be there this week cause alot of us are going to import fest in toronto.
canuckr,
The Godspeed pipe should not produce a check engine light. Your small piece of cat. in the test pipe may have come loose or fallen out which would explain why you are getting the check engine light. Call dan @ Godspeed and talk to him about it. And the Spoon 4-2-1 shouldn't produce any check engine lights either.
