Dilemma: What to do with stock parts?
OK, as most of you know by now, I have decided not to give my ITR back to the leasing company, but to keep it instead.
I have a stock intake/filter/header/cat/exhaust combo sitting around, as well as a stock wing.
Scenario 1: Keep all the stock parts for when I sell the car 2 or 3 years down the line. Then sell all the aftermarket stuff as well.
Scenario 2: Sell all the stock parts to make a little money now, then take my chances with selling a modified ITR down the line.
Which scenario looks to be the best financial decision? The aftermarket stuff is obviously worth more than the stock stuff, and a stock ITR is worth more than a modded one - so that would lend itself to keeping the stock stuff. But will the depreciation of my aftermarket parts be so great that they will fetch the same amount in a few years as my stock stuff would now?

So far I'm sticking to Scenario 1, i have a intake and a complete exhaust system lying in my garage with no plans to sell it, but as I'm living in Norway the market for stock ITR parts is not exactly huge, and shipping these large items is a bitch too.
Scenario 1 is always the best bet. But I have no room for a stock cat back so I sold that.
I'll probably sell the car as is to another enthusiast when the time comes.

Like everyone else said, scenario 1 if you have the space to keep the parts sitting around.
If you decide to sell the stock parts, I'll take the airbox and resonator for a really great price though.

I saved every little thing, even after I welded a cage into my car. I always said I could cut out the rollcage and go back to stock.
Well then two things happened:
1) I was broke
2) I realized that my car had a much better chance of being crumpled upside down next to some armco at the end of the runoff area then being sold as a stock ITR.
If you don't plan to sell the car, sell your parts. If you plan to sell it down the road, a stock ITR will be more valuable.

If you pick Scenario 1, then please leave all that stuff up there w/the Yankees.
I'm not cramming all that in the EP3 again.
I don't think you're going to sell the car anytme soon. Moreover, your "non-stock" parts consists of JDM OEM and Spoon parts. I don't think they're going to really reduce the chances of selling the vehicle.

I sold all my stock stuff, except the wing. But I don't plan on selling, ever. If you don't need the money, and have room to store it, keep your stock stuff-just in case.
Ross, if you plan on selling in a few years perhaps then keep your stock parts. I plan on never selling. So my R will either be stolen or wrecked on track..
Hence I have sold many stock parts.
