fuel pressure drops off before starting up engine
Happy holidays to everyone!
I noticed that before starting up the engine (H22A by the way), my fuel pressure gauge will go to the set pressure, but will fall off immediately. When the engine is started up, pressure is normal. We started up the engine yesterday and took it for a short test run and all seems normal. My fuel system consists of a walbro 255lph fuel pump, AEM fuel rai/fuel pressure regulator, Autometer 2 inch fuel gauge connected to the fuel filter and stock OBD1 H22A injectors with resistor box.
Is this normal? We observed this same procedure on a civic and with the key on, but the engine off, the fuel pressure on his gauge stays constant and does not drop off until you remove the key on the ignition.
I decided to check how the fuel gauge would react when the engine is turned off and we saw that fuel pressure goes from 40 psi to 0 almost immediately.
Anyone?

Normal.
Some do it and some dont.
Its due to the fact that when you first turn the key the fuel pump primes and
brings up pressure, then shuts off. Once the engine is running the pump
is always on.
