difference from crx and civic climate control
i was just woundering. the crx climate controls look better in my opinion. It has a slider for the 1-4 on he pressure of cold/hot air with a light on it i believe. while the civic just has a slider that is in no housing as the crx does have some sort of housing. just wanted to know if this is a plug n play swap or do you need to do some hardcore rewiring or anything to get it to work? if it works at all. If anyone has pis or anything that would be cool. if not just let me know. thanks!
I have a CRX and a Civic and to me, personally the civic with the slider one is best. But just pushing a button to do something is pretty easy to do. either or is fine. and I doubt they are plug and play since the CRX is elcetric and the Civic is all by wires.
Their was a post a few days ago about this.
From what they said it requires a good amount of wiring and you need to convert everything from mechanical to elecrical.
It wouldnt be to bad as long as you had a good donor car I plan on doing it once a few other projects get done.

Take it from someone who has taken apart a few CRX HVAC controls.
The civic and the CRX control swap is NOT plug and play.
The above posts are correct you will have to change over from cable slides to electric servos and you'd need all the underdash wiring, plugs and servos from a donor CRX.
I wouldn't try doing it.
But go for it if you think you're up to it.

Go for it. Give it the college try. Let everyone know how it goes.
