why does my b20 idles funny after going OBD1?
I was running my B20 with a 97 LS ecu, and it runs and idles perfectly with the exception of the engine running lean(code 45). I recently got my crank fluctuation sensor plug caught in the timing belt and it ripped it off. I didn't feel like fixing that sensor problem so luckily...
Having a 95 LS ecu and conversion adaptor in hand, i decided to go obd1 to eliminate all the sensitive emission CEL's.
Well it idles fine when using the obd2 ecu, but when i plug in the LS obd1, it idles up and down (1.5k-2k rpm) on cold starts and it does this until it's warm. What can be the problem? Switching from obd2 to obd1 has a different idle? Is it the obd1 ecu defective? It was idling fine with the obd2 ecu...by the way, i don't get any CEL's.
