Default Ideal headwork for a built turbo setup?Oversized valves?Valvetrain?Cams?

Does anyone here have a tried and true head setup for a built gsr?Im running a b16 head on top of a bensons sleeved 85mm block.Overall comp is 9:1.I was wondering if any can give some insight on gains off of headwork(by who?),oversized valves(yes?no?In+ex?),a reccomendation for valvetrain, and what cams people are getting good gains with?I know every setup is different and gets different gains..but im curious on what other people are gettin away with?

Plenty of guys are making 500 with stock heads, upgraded valvesprings, and gsr cams.

I am in the process of just hunting down some good deals on skunk2 springs/retainers/valves.....I am going to leave my valve sizes stock and just upgrade them to something stronger and run gsr cams...I have a b16 head...

they are a hell of a mod for the amount of money you spend on them...I got mine for $80 shipped....I saw a 6whp/1ftlb of torque gain from old setup by just throwing them in there....I was overall really happy with them...

There is a thread on the gains from switching from gsr to itr cams, ask boostfed about his setup.

Here is what we use on most of heads for high boost

Supertech black nitrate valves
Supertech springs and Ti retainers
Ferrera bronze valve guides
Offcourse port head with polished combustion chambers.
Type R cams

This combo seems to work wonders on every single car so far.

Actually I swapped from 00 Si cams to Type R cams. The head is stock with Skunk 2 valvesprings and retainers, stock valves and head.

Ferrea = Good valves, good valve springs If I had it to do over again I'd consider keeping the stock guides if they are in good shape. Probably stay away from oversize valves for now, cause too many headaches. Combo cams, in. from one and ex. from another . My last winter Alaniz project head is up and runnning, but NA right now so no numbers yet. Full Ferrea with GSR cams on B16.

Well Boostfed does with the ITR cams. As for valvetrain I'd go with Rocket's products definitely high quality and a great price. PM him for more details.
