Default 88 dx Swap, any suggestions.

I had a 95' ex that I was going to try a mini swap with does anyone have any suggestions on what to put in a 88' dx auto. What motor/auto tranny would work best? what suspension? what all is needed. this is going to be my new daily driver/winter beater. any suggestions would be greatful. the current motor is dead.

Pickd up car for cost of title!!

A b16 would be the easiest and the cheapest to mod into a 3rd gen...from what I have heard, haven't done any research to back this up 100% but off the 3geez site they all recommend a b series due to swappability (is that a word) and power is decent too, that car is light and a light engine with decent hp and tq is , good luck

Have fun with a DX accord. The DX accords are carbed. You will need to do an EFI conversion (BIG UNDERTAKING to say the least). You also need the engine, tranny, mounts, a wiring harness from place racing and any other small odds and ends. Grand total? $5000.00-$6000.00.

You definitely need to do some research if you are planning on a F series engine. That engine is pointless to swap in. I am not even going to explain why, but the HP rating is the same, the mount points arent even close and it would be a gigantic headache. You need to look at B series engines only. Read 3geez.com A LOT. You're on the wrong track.

3rd gens are super expensive to make fast, period.

Nate.

Yea just went down to my grams, where the car is sitting and it is indeed carb'd. , might just can the project altogether now, more work/money then im willing to spend for an automatic and for the car in general, being that it doesn't run and I got it for free, I might donate it.
