ECU Code 61 in a 2000 Prelude? Anyone know what it means?
My wife's check engine light went on today and I jumped the ecu and got code 61. I can't seem to find the website with the codes on them. Anybody? Thanks in advance.

Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor slow response. Possible causes: Primary Sensor deterioration, Primary Sensor Heater detorioration.
Try resetting the ecu and seeing if the trouble code returns before replacing the sensor.

Took the car to Honda today. Yes indeed it is the sensor. It is covered under warranty but they still want to charge $86 for the diagnostic test. Shouldn't this be covered under the warranty? I realize they still have to find out what the problem is, but you would figure this service should be part of the warranty. Anyone know? Thanks

They are trying to charge you $86 for checking the ecu trouble code, which since you checked it yourself you know the time involved is NOT worth an hour of labor. I would tell them off.
