B16 lost cold idle
See if you guys can figure out this easy one.
Its the XSi motor/j1 tranny etc...
I have the dashpot that bolts to the intake mani. still on, but removed the other one that hooked up to the throttle.
-New thermo.
I also screwed back in the warm idle valve (Don't know tech. name for it)
-Can you screw them in too far? B/c after I put everything back in, I have to actually have the throttle tight so I could get the car to idle.
I'm pretty sure I need a new IACV (on the backside of the intake mani.)
b/c of the slighly loping idle between 1100 rpm or so.
The most noticable thing is that I've lost my cold idle and I have to play w/the gas pedal to get it to start up in the mornings and such.
Any ideas to this?

If I remember correctly it is code 14.

My b16a is also like that, especially in the morning i have to hold it at 1500 so it can warm up a bit for like a minute or two...i dont know what it is tho....and if i rev it up and then just let off the gas it dies out...
since I am using a Skunk2 IM, I have used a 94+ GSR TB with the cold idle valve at the bottom of the TB, the thing inside is called the "WAX", you can screw in it if its all the way out, but don't screw in too much cause it won't close all the way when the collant is hot
