the 300zx also has 4 wheel steering. they started putting it into the Z in 1990, i do believe that the Prelude was the first with it though. i hate how it feels, when i had my 300ZX i ended up taking it out and using a Stillen HICAS Eliminator. it give you a weird feeling when changing lanes at high speeds, that's why i didn't like it.

UKDM has 4ws as an option. Also most of the JDM 5th Gens have it too. (Imported them before)

http://www.preludeperformance....id=37

Couldnt find any on the Jap auctions at mo.
these 5th Gen JDM models come with 4ws
Prelude Sir S spec - 220HP
Prelude Sir varients also (200bhp)
Prelude Type - SH is only model with both 4ws and ATTS

Apparently sir s spec doesnt have ATTS system but does have 4ws.
(BTW: ATTS was very similar to Quaife ATB-LSD, Auto Torque Biasing LSD)

well?...

Its a pitty they dont offer some of the models here in ENG or USA.
Dam japs saving the best for themselves!

Like on my JDM 4th Gen I have retracing mirrors that work with the ignition, remote start (no wait, that came withmy alarm but is very cool. Especially watching peaople walking by it!
"Oh my god that car its Kit off of night rider!"- thats most common reaction!

I just bought a 92 Prelude 4WS w/ 57k miles on it. It totally kicks ***. Can totally rip apart roads at high speeds and is insanely maneuverable. 4WS has a very controlled oversteer feeling. Steering feels very neutral.

feels like its sliding almost but doesn't oversteer easily. Beside, the prelude will always be a 'classic' milestone with 4ws.

Honda have really made some kick-*** inventions!

I have a 97(5th gen) lude with 4WS. I live in Turkey and 4WS was standard on Preludes.
If you're interested I have some pictures of the 4WS system UNDER the car.

Enjoy,

that doesn't look too much different than mine.. it's a little less protected though.
Is that grease all over the left hub/suspension?

btw, doing a search on JUST 4ws in the prelude forum would have displayed this :D

Tonnes of info on the 4ws system based on 4gen .. a bit on 5th gen ...

5th gen euro and jdm cards had 4WS but it was never implemented in North America.
