Default Can you swap a B18 in place of a D17A?

Hey All

Been out of this for a while. Took a new Civic for a test drive. The D17A looks really similar in configuration to the D16Z6. I have seen an article detailing a K20 swap (which sounds like a mondo pain in the azsz). I was wondering if anyone had any details on swapping in a B18C?

Thanks

Steve

yup it fits!

u gotta buy the mounts though from Hasport!
remember u running a 1.7L and jumping up a 2.0L so its gonna be a bit tight, but its a engine that belongs in there!

good luck!

yeah the k20 is only a pain if u swap it into a 6th gen and lower because of all the wiring......k20 in a 7th gen is definately meant to be! definately go with the k20...just forget about the b18

I have a 7th gen civic with a K20A2, the swap wasnt all that bad actually.
The B18 has yet to be put into a 7th gen civic. HASport i believe said that a custom intake manifold would have to be used to make it fit even.
Stick with the K20, you will be much happier.
