92-93 Integra RS Transmission Work on B18C1

Will it bolt onto the B18C1 motor and work? YES
Is the gearing appropriate for a B18C1 motor? NO
Hopefully you will be using this in an 88-91 Civic/CRX or a 90-93 Integra that originally came with a cable tranny. The 90-93 LS, RS and GS had the B18A1 and a YS1 tranny. The 92-93 GSR also had the YS1 tranny, but with shorter gears. That would be better for the B18C1 but they are very hard to come by. I'm glad I got mine

Just a quick correction - the 90-91 integra transmission is not the YS-1 - it is the A1 or S1 I believe, depending on year. At any rate, the clutch disc is splined differently for the earlier transmissions, as they have a smaller diameter input shaft (the disc is the same for 92 and up, hydro and cable I believe), something to keep in mind. Also, for gear swapping possibilities and overall strength, the YS-1 is a better unit. Basically a cable case with hydro internals.

yup, it is a hydro inside...
you can take the shorter gears that are in a YS1 and put it into a 98 spec ITR with a 4.785 final drive and have one short tranny!
