Default Changing front brake pads on a 92 Accord

Can anyone tell me if this is a fairly easy task and what tools I may need to do the job properly?

Thanks

Will

Wow, doesn't sound difficult at all. Can you tell me about how long the process takes?

No manual but I do have a handy digital camera to take pictures of each thing I do along the way incase my geek *** forgets something. I did when i changed the heads on my buell and didn't have any problems. *fingers croessed*

add in a jackstand (or a cardboard box) to hold the caliper in the air while your changing the pads. Don't let them hang.

I would also add some kind of pry (cresent wrench is what i use: whatever is handy) into the mix to use to push the piston back in. Use the old brake pads to cushion it like this:

|---|<---piston
===
----- <---old brake pad
O--- <- tool pushing towards piston

----- <---other side of caliper

Are the rotors easy to remove and bring somewhere to have them turned?

I forget with the accords, but you either unbolt a couple screws, or just pull really hard, or both.

And make sure to check your rears since your fronts need replacing...just a rule of thumb, and other brake components...it works as a system hence brake system.

i NEVER turn 90-97 accord rotors unless they are showing signs of grooving...why encourage wapred rotors?
also when doing front pads on accors i never have to mess with hanging the calpier by anything, i jsut unbolt the bttom bolt and rotate the caliper up, pull the pads spray with brake clean slide new pads in and botl it back up.
its about a 25 minute job with most of it jackign the car up and pulling tires.

Just curious how would turning your rotors cause warping? And the brake clean stuff works great and might as well do it since all is off
