Default who knows Arizona smog laws pertaining to engine swaps???

lucky me possibly...my parents are moving to arizona but i still live in California...well being that my vehicle registration is still under my dads name to save on insurance i figured i could go ahead and register my car in arizona

of course this all depends on what their smog laws are but i assumed that since its drastically less populated then cali they must be alot less strict.

so what are the guidelines for engine swaps and smog and such??

I was in A.Z for a while. Check engine light needs to be off if applicable. No visual. Pass the sniffer and you are ok.

All you have to do is pass the standard emissions test. There is no visual inspection or anything of that sort. I had no problems when i emissioned my '87 Civic w/ b20vtec. They had no idea what engine was in there, and honstly they could probably care less.
