ls/vtec ?
the ls/crvtec engine is prob one of the last i would do but just make sure and do it right... build the motor dont just slap it together... ive seen people slap them together and last a few months... i have a few friends with built ls/vtecs and they run pretty hard and have lasted thus far... do a search though ive seen lots of sites with pretty good info on this motor
My friend, there are numerous ways with which to build th LSVTEC engine. You will hear everyone's opinion on reliability and rod/stroke ratio yada yada. The point is that an lsvtec and especially a b20vtec are very potent engines capable of desroying most other b series engines at half the price.
Type in lsvtec on the archived search and you will get 1000+ posts on it. It's important to decide on what route will suit your driving needs best, (forced induction / NA). I am in particular building my lsvtec now the naturally aspirated route.
All in all you won't be let down with your motor as long as you don't skip out on the little things. Attention to detail is important whenever building an engine.
go to http://www.importreview.com/dyno.html for just a few ideas on which way to go. Good luck on the build.....

Well the 2 ways of building any motor... differences being forced induction (i.e. turbocharging, supercharging, nitrous oxide) or Naturally Aspirated (i.e. all motor). I build my motors for the simple fact of building it as fast as I can be with just a great motor. I am not opposed to other build options, a good turbocharged set up can yeild tremendous power over your best NA motor, but once again...it's all about what you want out of your car.
I guess another way to look at it ( 2 ways that is ) is the right way and the wrong way. There is no set way in either option on what is best...those kinds of answers will only bring opinions. But on the other hand the "right" way is doing everything properly as far as engine assembly. You can not skimp out on the details. You have a good idea for a motor that will bring lots of happiness, but now I think it's time to do some deep researching and comunicating to learn what you will be geting into. I wish it were easier to tell you how to do it..but it's not. Study and learn from factual builds....not "my boy has this and this...." and you can't go worng.
