I want to relocate my ECU to free up some airspace in my kickpanel area and also to make the ECU a little easier to access once I have new carpet and speakers in.

Will extending the wires a few inches directly in front of the ECU plugs adversely affect anything?

Anything I should take special precaution with? I'm going to pull the ECU pins out of the harness before I make the extension so there will be only one solder joint, and everything will be shrinkwrapped afterwards.

Thoughts? Concerns?

nope, a couple extra inches won't make a difference.

Seems pretty straight forward... just the obvious stuff:
-make sure you use the same or larger gauge wire
-make sure your solders are good
-make sure there are no exposed wires..... just all that stuff you already know
