Default TEIN SS rust

For TEIN SS owners, i've read the threads saying most TEIN owners coilovers rust pretty bad. Is it more so on the threads on the collar? or underneath? the bottom, of the shock? or the entire assembly?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They are mainly on the threads from what I have heard. Just use some wd-40 and spray them from time to time and they are good to go. I have the Flex, so I don't have to worry about that problem.

ive had mine on for a year and a half and they have not rusted at all. one coilover did seize up though, but that was because of too much dirt and ****. it was easily fixed.

WD-40 is water-based and promotes rust over time. It's better to use and oil-based lubricant.
