Default anyone install a JDM DC 4-1 header on a 94-97 GSR?

i searched but didn't find my answer. i bought a 2.5" carsound cat from someone w/ a 94 ls. i should've checked first, but is it the same length as a 94 gsr?

and is the JDM DC a pipe the same length as the stock header. i have the AHC6612 INTEGRA TYPE R JDM** 96-97 4-1

so basically a DC JDM header, 94 LS cat, into a 94 GSR. i just want to know if it'll bolt up right or if i'll have to go to the muffler shop first.

you will eventually have to go to a muffler shop. jdm 4-1(im not sure about the 96-97 spec) header is longer than stock manifold.

i have a DC JDM 4-1 on my 95GSR. It will take some modification at a muffler shop to make it work.

what exactly did they do? cut the header? or shorten the cat? what is your full exhaust set up?

i got a 94 gsr, dc jdm 4-1 header with 2.5" collector, 2.5" test pipe from sms products, bolted to my existing tanabe racing medalion(2.36") so i have a slight bottleneck where the test pipe and exhaust fit together. my test pipe is exactly 12 inches long, it's gotta be 2.5" pipe, with the end flared out to fit onto the dc 4-1 header, if you don't have a donut gasket on the header(like mine did not have) sms will have that too.

I went from comptech header to jdm dc. I never bottomed out before, now it's very easy to bottom out. im on pro-kits and it's tolerable but anything lower will prob be uncool. I'd say the header hangs about 1.5"(rough estimate) lower than the oil pan. Get the stainless steel version. it's at least beefy and can take the abuse.
