i had an alarm in my civic that i took out and i want to install in the prelude, when i took the alarm out of the civic i didnt look at the color of the ignition wire (starter kill) does anyone know the color? thx in advance

 

You could get a meter or test light and find it... It'll be the wire that shows 12 when the key is on, while cranking and after cranking...

 

yeah i could, i believe on the civic it was a white wire with a black stripe or a black wire with a white stripe, i cant remember not sure if it would be the same on the prelude but anyway i'll find out tomorrow, thx

 

take the column cover off. and use a flashlight and find the wire that is soldered to the tab with the IGN.

ignition is black w/yellow stripe...starter is black w/white stripe...check these wires to be sure

 

I believe the last fella was right , but check to make sure, as wire colors can very from body to body and year to year.
