peeps with y8 mani.. where did u place the intake air temp sensor??
I simply stuck it in the rubber coupling that attaches my CAI to the T/B. You could also drill a hole anywhere into the intake piping and install the sensor. It really doesn't matter where you put it - but just for a reference, the 96-00 Civic EX (Y8) has the sensor located in the airbox (where the filter is housed).
I have a pic of how I did mine, but I'd have to e-mail it to you.

I extended the wires and mounted it in my AEM air filter. The AEM filter has about a 4" long rubber neck. I drilled two small holes and one larger hole in the side of the filter neck, about 1 inch from the filter. I then used some very small bolts and nuts from Home depot. Works great.
Email me if you need pics and I'll snap some tonight.

What is that one bigger vaccume line coming off the black spacer just before the TB? It looks like it's going to that black thing against the firewall with some other red vaccum lines. My Y8 isn't hooked up like that
One more thing...does your Y8 drivers side mount sit a little towards the front of the car? Mine does...i know it is the correct mount...the one from the stock Crx engine howerver i've tried 2 mounts and they both sit a little forward.

i had mine in the rubber coupling before and it worked just fine. but then i switched to the 99-00 Si CAI, and used the Y8 OBD2 IAT sensor. i tested the obd2 style vs the obd0 style and the resistances were almost identical at various temperatures. the error was the same as between 2 different obd0 styles. i just spliced the new plug on since the wires have to be extended anyways. heres an old pic since i dont have any new ones on my computer as of now.
