OK so I got a 94 LS with 110K miles, my question is should I build that up and do LSVtec or should I buy a 96 GSR long block w/85K on it and build that up? I love the torque my engine makes but I'm just concerned about reliability. Thanks fellas.

when you build an LS/Vtec you're gonna be replacing the pistons and rings... it's gonna be pretty much like a fresh motor again... don't waste your money on the gsr block

 

a gsr makes more torque than your ls does.

the LS makes more torque bro...

 

they will make about the same just at different rpm ranges.

 

ls puts the power down quicker, IMO i think a build ls could beat a built gs-r

 

My car with just intake and straight pipe exhaust keeps up with my boys 93 B16ed del Sol til 3rd thats when he pulls me. I'll usually pull him off the line and then he'll pull me in third. And yeah I make more torque and I make it at lower rpms.
