Default Any "layed back" MD state inspection stations???

I'm buying a honda crx that has coilovers and a crack in the windshield. The crack is only like 4 inches long (creeping straight up from the drive side). Any of you guys in MD know of any places that won't give me a run around for this stuff? At least, the windshield (would cost me over 200 to replace). PM me w/ any responses-- names or telephone numbers of companies would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Zack

the car I am buying has a cracked front windshield and has a coilover suspension... I'm just trying to find out if there are any ways to get around fixing the stupid things that are wrong with my car so I don't have to dump a lot of money in just to pass inspection...

whoever knows of any places that are "laid back" should PM the names to the people questioning. You never know if the cops are checkin out the forum and then go spy on the shops you may mention and get them in some serious heat. Im sure they wouldnt like that much, plus they either wont be "laid back" any more or maybe not in business.

I dont think he is calling you that. Just think about if the wrong people read this or if someone that works at this so called shop read it. It looks realy bad and that shop could lose business or like he stated get busted for hooking people up.

i think you guys are blowing this way out of the water, i know cali is a bitch to get it. but here in colorado all they care about is the actual test and if you are within the numbers. i know they dont like to do cars with lo pros because they are easy to damage but it dont matter. i havea cracked window and my check engine light was on and i passed with flying colors. all emisions should matter is if you make to much poisins gas or not. its not a safety test.

a shop knows its doing it at their own risk, so how would it be his fault for asking about it?

nope. if ur suspension is droped or shocks are blown, u mite as well as raise the car n get new shocks also. they are pretty strick about the inspection. you can drop or mod the car after the inspection but to get it inspected, everything basically have to be stock or almost.
