You have them on, so why don't you tell us how you like it? I haven't taken mine to the track yet, so I don't it's 60' time. But I can say, I'll never buy them again. It loses traction too easily. I much rather get the Kumho. At least the Kumho is cheaper and they have similar grip.

If by Kumho you mean the 712, from what I understand the Spec2's have a stiffer sidewall and may be more sensitive to pressure. Maybe a little lower than what you would run on a 712 might work better for them.

Cheers,
Roy

Show car tire!?

Don't know where you came up with that...

I ran the spec 1's at Las Vegas Speedway, Willow Springs, Fontana, and Pomona. And they performed great, alot better than some of the other tires I have used and saw at the track. I have the Spec 2's now and still no complaints, compound is a bit softer and grips a bit better. The only thing is I wouldn't recommend these tires for rain.

Yeah, I mean the 712. Maybe it's stiffer, but I can't tell. That's enough for me to stay away. I mean, w/ the 712, I get similar grip, and it's 40% cheaper. So I see no reason to get the Parada again. My next set will prolly be the Azenis.

60 foot times.. =\..

ok well i've tested em out alot in the local twisties.. they perform wonderfully for being 300AA-A.. i can get the rear end to slide out on me if i push it... but theyre sticky and have predictable break loose characteristics.. i dont think i'd ever use em for drag racing... (i've ran on avid h4's 360AA, nitto nt555's 300AA, a032r's 60AA)

they arent a032r's... but still a nice street tire... they have been considerably worn down.. i'm unsure what to think about the tire wear as i'm not sure they will last a year of my driving.. they're down to about 40% and i typically buy new tires every year in march..

Paradas are meant for spirited twisty driving, not drag racing.

They will utterly SUCK for drag racing unless you almost completely deflate them due to the stiff sidewall.

If you are trying to cut better 60 foot times, you should have gotten Paradas to drive on the street, and have 2 wheels with drag radials or slicks to stick on when you go to the strip.

yeah what SonicBlueTeg said about predicting when the Paradas are gonna break loose. I love that about them, knowing just how far to push the tires to get them to break enough to slide through a turn or let off and let them regrip. Yeah they do suck for drag racing, only tried them once for that. But by far they surpass anything Kumho makes, those things just turn to butter at the speedways. Don't matter what price or model Kumho you get thost things are just track trash.
