I don't believe so but just lay it in there to see.

Why put an LS crank in a GSR block? What does this do?

Gains less than 2% displacement and weaker crank and rods. Of course if you have an ls crank and don't have a gsr crank, at least you can make a running engine. Just another way of making the ls/vtec motor. I don't consider them to be such a great idea, but last I checked there are lots of ls and b16 motors around and very few good gsr motors without cars around them.

The more people who think a ls/vtec motor is better than a gsr motor makes fewer people wanting to steal and strip gsr's. So tell all your friends that they are way better than a gsr motor.

I got a bare gsr block for a good price and I got the crank and rods for free.

it is CALLED STROKE.which gives you more tq which accelerates the car faster last but not least tq is what wins the race.

i have done that to a gsr and never had any problems.if your going for a all out build i suggest you use after market rods and pistons.gary gardella runs this set up 8.3-8.4 something like that,it seems to work for him.

Another example of he said, she said donkey ****. Who told you that the GSR crank is stronger than the LS one. If you want an idea of which crank is better, go on the classified forum and see how many LS cranks u find, and how many GSR cranks u find. I searched for 2 months before I finally gave up and called Hmotorsonline.com and Steve hooked me up with a perfect LS crank. Oh and I have a GSR crank for sale, perfect shape, any one wanna buy it?

Must be garbage since gardella runs that in his focking racecar. He makes no power remember? comeon. that car makes like 1000 whp on stock crank. The stock ls crank is perfectly strong enough. And if it was a stupid combo why would one of the fastest cars in the country incorperate it into its platform.

My friend has built one and modified the oil squirters to be used as well. Ill try and get some pics, No guarentee tho.
