he's just kidding.

When I bought my 17X7 Konig Verdicts, i loved the way they looked..

Performance, on the other hand.. that was a different story.

Weight: they were about 21.4lbs each!!!
Acceleration: my car was SO much slower.. when i threw the stock rims back on in the winter I was like wow, why is my car so much faster?

Braking: EVERY shop told me my rotors were screwed up, I needed to have them replaced... My steering wheel shook at different speeds, and when coming to a stop, my car would veer left and right (very unpleasant).

Overall ride: Very harsh compared to 15 or 16 inch wheels. the littlest bumps set the car off, the small sidewall GRABBED every imperfection on the road.. you had to keep your hands firmly on the wheel at all times to survive.

I am on 16" 13.5lb rota slipstreams. I could NOT be happier for the price and performance. (please lets not turn this thread into rota bashing.. just giving the guy advice)

Seriously... think twice about your decision.

No worries man. I owned 18x7.5 for a while. You could feel the date on a quarter when you ran over it but all is good.

It's all about looks, I think. Yeah, you might be able to go faster on some 15s or 16s but who cares. If someone wants to go 130 on a highway street racing and kill themselves than hope their life insurance will cover stupidity.

I save that for the track. And I can just swap on the stock wheels before I go to the track.

Well I have 17" rims and my ride is better now than when I had the my stock rims on. IMO it all depends on the suspension setup you have and how hard/soft you can feel the ride.

actually, i ve been through rims like there's no tomorrow.

had 14s, got 15's, then 16's then another set of 16's with touring tires (also rota slipstreams), now im back to rolling with my 15 GSR fat fives. The ride is so much better and less rough. may i repeat, SO MUCH BETTER.

Ive driven enough sports cars to know the difference between quality handling and rough riding. I used to find 16's as the best compromise for ride, handling and looks. The looks certainly, but for ride i would vote 15's all the way for the integra.

on a side note, if youre getting 17's, you'll definitely need to drop the car a bit to make it look good, else you'll be getting those 4x4 comments then again... if you go down that path... its a downward spiral. Your ride is harder with 17s due to the heavier rims and smaller sidewalls, then your springs are shorter(more compressed) to attribute to an even harsher ride.

good luck with your 17's.

i'm so glad i never bought rims back when i thought wheels had to be 17" to be nice...

i think i'll be happy with my 15x6.5" (11 lbs. a piece) once winter passes. but if you like the rims, then good, stay with them.

I've also had 14s,15s,16s, and 17s.

The 15s are by far the best riding wheels.

17s are heavy, and track like crazy. Plus, I didn't really like how low profile the tire was.

Well if I lose power because of my heavy rims, how much power are we talking about, I wouldnt think it would be that much

Heh... You all should have ridden in my teg when it had the 18x7.5... The tire was a 215/35/18... The sidewall was abour 1.5 inches. You would almost be able to tell what date was on the quarter you ran over..

well you will ride noticibly harder and it gets annoying as hell. I mean its normal to feel some bumps cruising 80 but when youre doing 15 and feeling every crack and bump in the road, you start questioning why....

Some of you may laugh but 14's were the most comfortable ride. I eventually swapped them out because the car rode too low and the front lip was scraped up on almost EVERY driveway.
