well i was able to run 12's with a b16a but why not just go bigger with the 1.8 or 2.0 and go faster... theres no replacement for displacement

true.
true.
Rather than answering a question, many of the ppl on this forum are so quick to refer to either search or add their own little comment. But instead of just answering what you already know, you'd rather waste a post on just BS'ing and racking up your post count. Everybody's gotta learn somewhere.

Yea, and that somewhere is SEARCH. Let me demonstrate...

More air, more fuel = more power.
Larger strokes of the pistons inside the cylinder = more air, more fuel = more power
b18 > b16
Even though the b16 is fun and has some potential the b18 will make more power with comparable mods.

B18C everytime. The B16 is pretty peaky IMO, while the B18 tends to be more linear, especially with that stupid manifold.

I would not say that the B16A is more 'peaky' and the B18C more 'linear'. Both motors have fairly flat torque curves. The only real difference is the displacement. Because the B18C is bigger, its torque curve is shifted up some. But yes, the B18C is a better starting point (if you can afford it).

Having driven both though, I'd say that the B18 has power sooner than the B16. Driving my Buddy's Si(R) requires you to be in VTEC all the time to make it fly. The GSR is a touch more forgiving.
i say anyone who doesnt wanna give positive post on the thread shouldnt post. and if you dont like it you should lick my a$$ but i woudl say a gsr
gsr block, b16 head. best of both worlds. but B18 over b16 all day long. i have owned both, an the b16 is peaky, you gotta be in vtec to really move, my gsr felt like it had power all the time.
