Default Engine Swap

Alright, so I have a 97 Civic LX that I want to do an engine swap to. I've heard a million different ways to go with this so I want to see what you guys think.

B16, B18, H22, or ls/v

All depends on what you want to do with the car. Are you dragging it, xrossing, or street?

If you get the B16 engine, get the Civic Type R (B16B)

B18c1 or 5 is excellent for Xcrossing and street.

H22 is a great drag motor.

Ls engine, turbo it.

It depends on what you want to do. For daily driven car, B18c1 is the way to go. This topic have been covered so many times, try under search

under steer is bs with a good suspension set up. a b20 or a h22 will be just fine. its all up to what you want on the long run. thats it these motors all stack the same except b20 and ls vtec take more work then just dropping in a b18c or a b16

I never understand why people ask questions like this.

How much money are you willing to spend? What do I want to get out of the car? Do I want NA or turbo?

These are questions you ask yourself, then the answer to, "which engine do I want will be obvious."

Sorry if I sound like a dick, but when I was planning on buying my motor I never had to ask, "what motor should I get". I knew what each motor had to offer and how much money I wanted to spend.

And if you don't know what motor(s) is available to put in your car, the search feature works every time.
